Macedonia has been an official EU candidate country since 2005 but hasn’t started its memberships talk yet. The negotiations have been blocked by Greece also because of the controversies concerning the country’s name which is the same as the name of one of the Greece’s provinces. The country itself has been notoriously criticized for its problems with corruption and lack of improvement of the judicial system.
