The controversial animal issues are only partly solved by the EU law. The cruel and completely unnecessary long distance transports for slaughter, the unregulated issue of animal testing, farm animal welfare, protection of wildlife and above all the proper enforcement of the existing law are the main issues that are going to be treated according to the new agenda 2009-2013. Will the EU manage to solve the most urgent problems?
