The current President of the EU Commission is accused by many Europeans of not taking the right measures to the failure of the Treaty of Lisbon, undermining the social protection in the times of the global crisis, being supportive to the neoliberal ideas, not reacting adequately face the EU’s identity crisis, failing towards the environmental issues, as well as in the field of the promotion of democracy and human rights in the developing countries.
